Obama Targets 14 Bush States & a McCain Funny

I sure hope McCain isn't paying his staff much money cause man do they stink at their job. Granted they have a tough job of making McCain look young, hip, smart, energetic, enthusiastic, smart, oops said that one already...
This camp can’t go a single day without falling on their face, flip-flopping on an issue, or just saying something so stupid it hurts to read.
cross posted on my site OurHispanicVoices.com
Politico has a story about Obama’s expand the field strategy. It appears that 14 Bush states are in play in camp Obama, while all 50 will receive staff and support. They’ve decided to focus on the 14 with large staff, mail and TV. There are some they know they will not win like TX, but believe they can make it competitive and help the local races that will in the end, help re-draw the districts that Tom Delay screwed up. While TX isn’t on the list of hard campaign stops, it will get attention.
Here is the so stupid it hurts comment from Summer Camp McCain
"It’s revealing that Barack Obama has now been forced to expand the states on his map because he’s so weak in traditional Democratic targets such as West Virginia, Arkansas, Tennessee and Florida, not to mention his ongoing problems in Pennsylvania and Ohio," said McCain spokesman Brian Rogers.
Okay, are you done laughing? Get a drink of water and wipe those tears from your eyes. Yes, "weak traditional Democratic states like West Virginia, Arkansas, and Tennessee"
Besides PA going blue in 2000 & 2004, all the rest went Red in 04 and in 2000. McCain camp is pooping bricks because 14 states they should have in their bank are now in play. With two consecutive polls showing him behind by 15 and state poll after poll showing him behind across the country from east to west, I’m surprised they are not abandoning ship right now searching for a more lucrative job in the private sector.
Here are the Obama / Bush 14
Iowa, New Mexico, Ohio, Nevada, Colorado, Florida, Missouri, Virginia, North Carolina, Montana, North Dakota, Indiana, Georgia, and Alaska
Look at that! ALASKA, INDIANA, MONTANA!!!! Bold moves, and polls in Alaska and Indiana show it's possible.
All those are just the ones that will receive "special attention," along with Nebraska 2 which has 1 electoral vote. He’ll also campaign hard in the ones that Dems barley carried so his field is huge. McCain is going to have a problem keeping up. I’d like to see more states go on the playing map if polls show they can tighten like LA, TX, AZ.... I’m sure they will. I’d imagine that the money issue will also allow him to expand even further. If he raises the hundreds of millions people say he potentially can for the Gen Election, then I’d image he’d put it to good use in other parts of the nation. I’d also image that once a VP is picked, if that person connects with working-class white men, you’ll see the camp expand into those areas that McCain claims are traditional Democratic states.
Overall the outcome if successful, would build a stronger Democratic map for elections to follow and hard roads ahead for Republicans. It’s a smart play since a larger map would make future elections about the nation rather than 2 or 3 states.
Here's to an exciting run in Nov. Work hard! Donate! Register! GOTV! It's the only way we can insure an Obama win.
