I am getting whiplash. GOPers must be banging their heads against the wall.
Tonight (or last night, depending when you are reading this) Monday September 10, 2012, the flip, or is it the flop, took place. No surprise, Romney is again for repealing healthcare.... the dude is a joke.
This is just mind numbing. The ultimate flip-flop-flip-flop-flip-flop-flip-flop is taking place and the main stream media is not covering it.
Timeline below the orange squig... Link to new flip or flop below too. These words come from his own mouth, not a news release to conservative outlets.
After a full day of the national media running with his comments on Meet the Press and sending his supporters off cliffs and bridges, he decided to set the record straight by doing a phone interview with a conservative radio show where he again called for a full repeal of "Obamacare."
Here is a Timeline of his stance on healthcare.....Get ready for the Ride....
FOR: April 12, 2006 Romney signs into law “RomnyCare”
AGAINST: 2008 Presidential Primaries, Romney Drafts a new healthcare plan dropping support for the law he championed in MA because it was not a popular position his party
FOR: 2009 Romney voiced his support for universal healthcare and a mandate on Meet The Press
AGAINST: 2011 Gearing up for the Presidential Primaries, Romney now voiced full support for a “full repeal on day one.” He is on record, on VIDEO, on AUDIO, EVERYWHERE stating he supported a full repeal.
REALY AGAINST: June 2012 as the leading GOP presidential candidate Romney stood behind a podium with a big “Repeal & Replace Obamacare,” sign. Where he gave a speech again calling for a full repeal on day one after the Supreme Court announced a rulling.
FOR PARTS: September 9, 2012 Romney changed his stance while talking to Meet The Press where he had a national audience and stated he would not repeal “Obamacare,” or at least all of it.
STAFF AGAINST: SAME DAY, September 9, 2012 Romney staffers send out a memo to conservative media stating that his stance has not changed at all and he would repeal universal healthcare on day one and that the free market would take care of those with pre-existing conditions (like they have done so well for the past billion years.)
AGAINST: September 10 2012, after a full day of the national media running with his comments on Meet the Press he is once again against the whole idea... sort of, maybe, kind-of, for sure this time, but not really. He senced a loss of troops so changed his message specifically for a conservative radio show where he again called for a full repeal while trying to call for a preservation of parts at the same time, but repeating over and over that he would repeal.
I have not tracked the many times his surrogates, staffers and advisors have changed his stance for him (with the exception of Sept. 9th) Seriously, when is someone going to call him out? He is giving the national media one message so he can appear moderate, but giving the conservative media a different message so he won’t lose his base. The media CAN’T be taken seriously if they don’t do their job.
This was funny the first few times he flip-flopped and as a Dem, it’s down right hilarious now, but in all honestly Mr. Romney’s constant change in stance is just pathetic. I seriously can’t believe he is a real candidate.
